I am Wisam Daoud (AKA Sam); I just moved into my first owned home (condo) in Dublin California with my wife and expecting mother of my child Sana’. We are both aspiring photographers, amateur fisherman, and wannabe painters, but more predominantly, full time working professionals and students.

My life began in 1980 when I was born in Jerusalem, and like many other displaced Palestinian families I spent quite a bit of time relocating around the world. I lived in disputed Jerusalem, then moved with my parents to Abu Dhabi U.A.E., then California U.S.A, then back again to Jerusalem, and I finally settled back here in the S.F. Bay Area.

I am on my third attempt in completing my college education, this time I am determined not to get interrupted by any more great business ventures. I am working towards an eBusiness major at the University of Phoenix, while Sana’ is working towards accreditation from the American Montessori Society to underpin her Bachelors in Psychology & Education.

Professionally, I co-founded three Internet startups that I have yet to profit from. Along the way, I have done work for companies such as Lionbridge Technologies, Starbucks, Paltel, and the Center for Middle East Competitive Strategy. My skill set includes applications analysis and design, product/project management, web application development, user interface design, and I have a strong understanding of business process and software development methodologies.

My first company Arty Media, Inc. was a web development and design company I co-founded with my brother in 1999. Arty Media was acquired in 2001 by IDS Software Systems Inc., which in 2003 was acquired by PDF solutions, Inc for a deal worth $50.6 million. An unanticipated set of events and a slight lack of judgment led to me not making any money on that deal!

However, with the newly generated wealth close by, we spun off a new company called MyDirectOffice that offered a full featured CRM for the real estate industry. That offering was later scraped in favor of much more successful free virtual tour solution for real estate agents called FlyInside.com. I am working part time on FlyInside.com as Chief Technology Officer. My other full time job is with SureCircle as project manager (actually Scrum Master) and I lead user interface development.
